It turns out that I have restarted this blog with a mistake.

I said that 御利益 is read as “gorieki”: in fact, and thank you to my good friend Tim Marrable for pointing this out, its correct reading is “goriyaku.”

I have now identified 32 divine favours, the most recent four of which are to do with matters of the teeth. For details see my Ha Shrine webpage.
