Atago Jinja

Sacred Tokyo 40 Shinto Shrines

The main Atago Jinja was founded over 1,300 years ago and is perched atop the 924 metre high Mount Atago in Kyoto. Its homepage tells us that there are about 900 Atago Jinja nationwide. My database shows 63 in Kyoto and 18 in Tokyo.
